-
Do you accept insurance? No. Waypoint Psychology operates as a private-pay practice. We do not accept or bill insurance. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your provider.
-
Do you offer therapy?Yes, for select adult and adolescent clients. Therapy services focus on diagnostic clarity, emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and men’s issues. Dr. Tedder uses a direct, structured approach to help clients break out of ineffective cycles and move toward meaningful change.

What kinds of evaluations do you offer?Waypoint Psychology offers a range of targeted evaluations, each designed to answer specific referral questions with clarity and precision: Diagnostic Evaluations: These assessments clarify complex clinical presentations such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, mood and anxiety conditions, trauma-related symptoms, and executive functioning challenges. Evaluations may include cognitive, emotional, and personality testing, depending on the needs of the case. Forensic Evaluations: Dr. Tedder provides comprehensive risk assessments, parenting capacity evaluations, psychosexual screenings (non-offense focused), and psychological evaluations for sentencing, mitigation, or court-involved matters. All forensic work is conducted independently and is structured for legal use. Disability Determination Evaluations: These evaluations assess psychological functioning for individuals applying for disability benefits through SSA or other systems. The focus is on diagnostic clarity, functional impact, and how symptoms interfere with daily living and occupational capacity. Scheduling is handled through your case manager. PSP-13 (Public Safety Psychological Screening) Evaluations: Waypoint Psychology conducts PSP-13 evaluations for public safety and law enforcement applicants. These assessments objectively measure key psychological domains such as emotional regulation, impulse control, stress tolerance, and judgment. The process includes a structured clinical interview, review of relevant records, and standardized testing. Please call for details. Fitness for Duty Evaluations: FFD evaluations are specialized psychological assessments for current or prospective law enforcement officers. These evaluations address pre-employment screening, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-duty questions. Each assessment includes a comprehensive review of mental health history, personality structure, and job-relevant competencies such as decision-making, integrity, and resilience. Findings are summarized in a concise report tailored to statutory, agency, and referral requirements, supporting informed decision-making by hiring authorities or command staff. Please call for details.
-
How long does testing take?Initial consultations are conducted prior to testing and are typically completed via Zoom, though in-person appointments are available upon request. Most evaluations involve one full day of in-person testing, followed by time dedicated to scoring, interpretation, and report preparation. A feedback session is usually scheduled within two to three weeks after testing is complete, at which point findings and recommendations are reviewed.
-
Do you use testing assistants or technicians?Yes. Certain portions of testing may be administered by trained psychometric technicians under the direct supervision of Dr. Tedder. All data is reviewed, interpreted, and reported solely by Dr. Tedder. Technicians do not provide clinical impressions, therapy, or feedback.
-
Can I get a copy of my report?Yes. Reports are typically delivered during the feedback session and provided in PDF format. In forensic cases, reports are sent directly to the referring attorney or court. Clients may request a copy through proper legal channels.
-
Can I refer my client for a forensic evaluation?Yes. Attorneys, agencies, and courts may refer individuals for forensic services including risk assessments, competency screenings, mental health evaluations, and expert consultation. All referrals require a formal intake session and a signed agreement prior to the initiation of services. In cases where Ex Parte evaluations are appropriate, direct communication between the referring attorney and Dr. Tedder is required to establish scope and expectations.
-
What is the cost for a forensic evaluation?A non-refundable $500 intake consultation is required for all forensic cases. If the case is accepted, a $7,000 retainer is due prior to any additional services. Additional fees may apply depending on the scope of work, court involvement, or expert testimony requirements. If you have questions, please contact Dr. Tedder.
-
Can you provide court testimony?Yes. Dr. Tedder is available for depositions and court testimony if required. All court-related services are billed at the current forensic rate and must be arranged in advance.
-
What is the turnaround time for forensic reports?Report timelines for forensic evaluations vary depending on case complexity, the volume of records, and the scope of collateral interviews. In most cases, reports are completed within approximately 21 business days following the final testing session and receipt of all necessary documentation. Expedited timelines may be available under certain circumstances but must be arranged in advance and may incur additional fees.
